Granderson and Rivera won't be in the starting lineup against Vance Worley. Nimmo CF Cabrera 2B Cespedes LF Conforto RF Flores 3B Smith 1B Rosario SS Plawecki C Montero P Looking forward to Cecchini getting a shot in the leadoff slot if only to have four consecutive Cs atop the lineup.

Since I brought it up last night -- Tom Koehler AAA update, for what it's worth: 1.67 ERA in 37 2/3 innings (seven games), with 55 K. (Sigh.)

That's the second pop-up that Rosario has missed despite seeming to have it lined up. Neither was an easy chance, but in both cases he looked like he did the hard part by getting there only to then whiff on it.

I think it may be time to stop the "Montero is pitching, is he all we have?" kinds of comments. He is now pitching like a solid, if not spectacular, major league starter - a back end of the rotation type of pitcher. Most of his past few games have resulted in "quality starts" and that is what we expect from that type of pitcher. LAter

I think we're finally seeing the birth of the new lineup today. Homegrown most of the way around the lineup, too. Let's get Cecchini in at second and Laggy into the outfield and do this right.

I like that Plawecki had spent most of his year in the minors, had no prior homers this season at the big-league level, but had the team homerun handshake/slap/dance down to a T.
