Flexen holds 'em to 1 run on 30 pitches in the first. I guess that's something.

Based on our season's average of 0.87 runs allowed per/1st inning, it's pretty close to the norm for this year. Last year's 1st inning average for the entire season, 0.40, was less than half what it is this season Folks can question Terry on his lineup choices or his bullpen management, but those stats are purely the results of that night's starter and therefore essentially out of his hands.

Wrong Gary. Dennis Martinez has the most wins for any Latin pitcher but not foreign born. Rik Aalbert Blyleven of Zeist, Netherlands = 287, 42 more than 'El Presidente'

He's got some rough edges on his game, but nothing that can't be sanded off if they show some commitment. It's philosophically a big problem with this organization. They give lip service to on-base percentage, but they don't commit to the players who give it to them.

Two infield grounders by Wilmer tonight which 90% of ML'ers turn into singles. Wilmer was out by a wide margin both times.

I never would have sent the runner on that play. Heck, I might not have sent Dee Gordon, but great job by Lagares. Are the umps wearing wrist bands again? This time gray?

He walked to load the bases. Would have been nice if Cabrera got the bat off his shoulder as the next batter. Great stop by Smith. Blevvy fails to cover first. Come on, 2017 Mets! Your head-out-of-game-ness has reached critical mass. Crap footwork by Rosario, too, but I guess he had given up on the throw by then.

Yep, I had my good vibes turned off for a couple of months. They aren't at 100% yet either. But I fear it's too late this season even for my 100% good vibes. Should I save some vibes for 2018?
