As mentioned during the first game, the Nats were planning on the night-cap being Scherzer's return but have instead delayed that until tomorrow (vs Miami) so we get to face Tanner Roark who was originally supposed to start the early game.

Rosario has had a steady diet of playing time since he came up. More than anybody, I would guess. Butt-ends of doubleheaders are generally the time such creatures get their occasional rest. The real story is Brandon Nimmo's debut in the three-hole!

Howie notes that three Mets wear their ages on their uniforms: Smith - 22 Plawecki - 26 Taijeron - 28 Nationally televised game, so no MLB feed for me or, I assume, for the other out-of-towners.

So why wasn't that last play obstruction on Taylor walking right in front of Plawecki as he tried to throw to 2nd? Neither the announcers (big surprise!) nor Terry brought it up.
