Hey, another Met! James Wagner of NYT reporting Mets are calling up Tomas Nido, your Rumble Pony catching prospect. About time they have a backup backup backstop in September.

Not particularly good news if your name is Xorge Carrillo.

Now, if you have a cool name like Xorge, that may be all the good news you need. But if you are the Xorge Carrillo, you are headed toward the professional limbo of minor league free agency this offseason, and even if the Mets removed you from the roster come October, a few swings a big league pitchers might have been just the thing your résumé needed.

Nido evidently wore 7 in many of his stops on the way up including the Futures game
