I haven't been on line much lately. I just saw that Van Halen was being challenged. I will try to put up a list of songs in just a minute (unless they don't page me for a patient). Otherwise, it will be later tonight after work and a business meeting.

There'll be other matchups. It's a rich catalog. Here's ten from the bench. "The Perfect Girl" "Catch" "Catepiller" "Killing an Arab" "The Blood" "A Night Like This" "Kyoto Song" "Let's Go to Bed" "Jumping Someone Else's Train" "10:15 on a Saturday Night" "In Between Days" But "In Between Days" and "A Night Like This" are just hard to beat against anything, in my book.

Yeah that is some bench...I saw them at Randalls Island in July 04...no BS but it was one of the best nights of my life...the girl I was with that night I will be seeing Wednesday night for the first time since that concert......I'll be seeing her at Grand Central when she comes back form Puerto Rico....I can't wait....

Still 30-30 with just a few hours left to go - and neither sponsor has weighed in (neither have I but I am too ignorant of both of these bands to make a rational choice and I don't want to go all clips).

3.5 hours left to go and still tied. We need to figger out what to do in case of a tie. We could either do nothing and not penalize Van Halen in this case but The Cure could still re-challenge -- or -- They do a one-song playoff. Can't be a song on the current lists.

I was going to suggest that the Cure move up to one space behind Van Halen but that's where they already are. Maybe we should just leave them where they are with neither band restricted from challenging higher.

I generally refrain from voting in match ups which contain bands that I'm not too familiar with their music. I know only 4-5 Cure songs, so even though a band I was sponsoring was involved in the challenge, I felt I wasn't adequately prepared to vote in this match up. I had the same problem when I challenged the Velvet Underground with CCR.
