We have to break that Cure/Van Halen thingie.

Also, if we do go to one of the re-vote options, do we restrict the vote to peeps who have voted for the ten songs each already have put out there?

I voted five, but I think three would be better

I think we should let the tie stand in the records and each team is free to challenge other teams. Things will sort themselves out.

I like this. Challenger gets put right below the one they just tied, but can challenge above of said band.

What all is tied right now?

Van Halen-Cure.

And technically, Thin Lizzy/Pogues

And, technically, Bob Marley and the Wailers/Aerosmith.

A one-song playoff -- that one song not among the 10 already offered up in the tied contest -- could make things dramatic and ultimately, reward the band with the deeper bench or better manager.

It also is proportional to extra innings, as well as the least headache.

I would prefer a three-song playoff, just to make it a little more balanced.

But I could easily live with a one-song death match.

I voted for the one-song playoff. Barring that, I could support the "no effect" provision.

I like keeping the tie. If we go to a tiebreaker, I like the one song sudden death format.

One person says to "Wait, forever, if necessary, for a new voter to join in." Thank you to that person, but we can eliminate that one.

Four peeps say that "Each sponsor adds one song, and we vote on that."

Four peeps say that, "Each sponsor adds five songs, and we vote on those. "

One of those was Cooby, who would prefer "three," which technically puts thw one song sudden-death matchup in the lead Scarlet also fell into the three-song matchup (fairer than one, more wieldy than five), giving that two votes even though it wasn't on the list.

"Each sponsor adds eight songs, and we vote on those," was based on an earlier Dickshot proposal. No votes.

Willets promoted a "Let the tie stand" proposal, which would place the challenger a rung below the defender, but free to challenge over. Elster backed this up. Sharpie went for this as his second choice after the one-song deathmatch. Hahn liked the tiekeeping prospect first, then the one-song deathmatch. He also doesn't like when people drink and dress.

I like keeping the tie. If we go to a tiebreaker, I like the one song sudden death format.

So, we have three viable candidates for a runoff. We'll do a reballot.
