Re: Cleaning up

It might be easier to list who hasn't.

And actually that's just starters (which is what I assume the question was about) but does not include guys who may have hit in that position for part of a game via substitutions, double-switches,
and the like.

oe: although looking at that chart, we've had 10 different hitters in EVERY position except for leadoff (6) and 3rd (8) so there's nothing really special about the 4th slot

Well, nothing super unusual, except that you expect a little more stability in the fourth spot. You don't expect a team is going to have ten go-to sluggers.

11. Plawecki-1

The link says 12, but only lists the top 10:

Bruce-47
Walker-34
Flores-29
Cespedes-8
Conforto-7
d'Arnaud-6
Duda-5
Nimmo-3
Granderson-2
Smith-1

The two one-timers not on the list are TJ Rivera and Cabrera. The booth was discussing the cleanup hitter count a few days back.

The Mets have used 132 different batting orders this season, with no order used more than three times. And BBRef doesn't count the pitcher as affecting the order, as long as the pitcher's spot in the order is the same (that is, if a starting lineup were identical except that deGrom batted 9th in one lineup and Syndergaard batted 9th in another, BBRef wouldn't count them as different).
