Post-Season Met Connections

Washington Nationals: Alejandro De Aza, Daniel Murphy, Ollie Perez. I'm guessing ADA won't(?) make the post-season roster. Mike Maddux, Met from the glorious 1993-94 era, coaches the pitchers.
Chicago Cubs: René Rivera is one of four backup catchers for the Cubs. I'm thinking his veteran's veteraniness gets him a 50-50 chance to make a post-season roster.[/list:u]
Los Angeles Dodgers: Hirsute Justin Turner is joined by Gentleman Curtis Granderson. Randolph-era utilityman Chris Woodward coaches third. That's all fine, but if you root for them, you are rooting for Face Buttley.
Arizona Backs-of Diamond: No former Mets are on the roster, but Dave Magadan and Ron Gardenhose are part of the coaching corps, as if that could make up for Fernando Rodney.[/list:u]
Colorado Rockies: This isn't a very Metly team.
Boston Red Sox: 2011 punching bag Blaine Boyer is working out of the pen. Hit-and-miss Addison Reed joins him there, and they occasionally go out for a meal and talk Mets with reserve outfielder Chris Young and assistant pitching coach Brian Bannister.[/list:u]
New York Yankees: Feh.
Cleveland Indians: Well traveled sidearmer Joe Smith, once converted from catcher as a Met property, currently brings his mercenary arm to bear for the Indians. They also boast of outfielder Jay Bruce, first base coach Sandy Alomar Jr., staff assistant Scott Atchison, and currently have my heart, I think.[/list:u]
Houston Astros: Tyler Clippard deploys his goggles for his fiftieth team in the last three years. Juan Centeno sits at the bottom of the catching depth chart, but could see post-season action because one never knows. Colin McHugh missed the first half of the season, but seems to be rounding into form. Carlos Beltran is DH'ing and looks to be making his last magical trip to the post-season. Former Mets personalities-of-one-capacity-or-another Dave Hudgens, Brent Strom, Gary Pettis, and Carlos Munoz all answer when the coaches are called to order.
Milwaukee and St. Louis are still trying to grab that second Wild Card spot from Colorado, while that spot is wide open in the American League, so root for the Mets you want to root for. Just don't ignore the Scott Atchison factor.[/list:u]
