And for the record, the runaway winner of the "I look nothing like my former self" contest is Wally Backman. The effect is lost a little because he remained with the organization, but compare young Wally to now Wally. Not a chance you recognize him. I think older Wally looks a lot like younger Wally, he just happens to look like a younger Wally who then ate younger Wally. btw, I'll always maintain that the least similar looking celebrity young guy/old guy combo was Frank Sinatra

So the MFNs got their type of manager: someone who would take their cheap-ass $2M/year offer. That's what Dusty Baker was making and he actually had a track record. Martinez doesn't.
