This surprises me. From his public image, I wouldn't have thought that George Bush was the ass-grabbing type. (Obviously, Bill Cosby has reinforced that public images don't tell everything.) But I wonder, would he have been grabbing asses when he was 60? Or is his advanced age a factor, either in a don't-give-a-damn-anymore sense, or some dementia. I'm guessing the latter. Either way, women who pose for a photo next to Poppy Bush should have been given a much more clear warning. Now, I suspect, they won't need it.

If this has been a recurring event his handlers (family, friends, staff, secret service) need to be more on top of the situation and see that it doesn't ever happen again. If he can't behave himself maybe it's time to not do public appearances or something.

At least if the women knew they'd be posing next to GHWB's successor then you figure they'd be on guard for it.
