presumably you'd need to have a browser that's extremely old. Firefox before version 23, not chrome or IE. Opera before version 15.

What are you trying to do with Flash? I don't recall ever using that button function here so I have no idea what it does or doesn't do.

I use Chrome and Adobe Flash items load fine. The top of this page is in Adobe Flash and a right click on it say I'm viewing it in with ChromeOS - PPAPI 27.0.0.183 (Adobe Flash Player)

It is for playing Adobe Flash files. It seems like an option that we can disable.

That's what I assumed too, but that 'feature' of HTML was disabled years ago as I said, so it wouldn't work now anyway. but yeah, guess it was for playing swf files. [flash="http://preview.ffiles.com/3566/main.swf"]http://preview.ffiles.com/3566/main.swf[/flash] not sure if anyone really still uses them much, but they're out there.

Adobe Flash is still a thing, it's just called Animate now.
