Boy meets girl. Boy loses girl. Girl dies in tragic blimp explosion over the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.*

Judd Apatow produces this hijinx-laden rom-dram-com.

This one got a ton of critical acclaim when it was first out.
I thought it was good but maybe not quite all that - but I'm not the biggest rom-com fan in the world so maybe it's just me.
Was nice and gave it 4*, would have gone 3-1/2 if offered that option.

But good overall story. Good awkward parts for the parents -- Ray Romano and Holly Hunter -- as opposed to the ridiculously awkward parts that are standard fare in your usual sit-coms/rom-coms.

I hate to pin a film on associations one personality, but we've had bad experiences with Zoe Kazan features in the past and didn't stick this one out past the eight-minute mark. Should we have?

It was okay - likeable enough but I saw it when it was out this spring and had almost completely forgotten about it. Three stars.

I didn't give much thought to the girl and as far as I know I never heard of Zoe Kazan. The Pakistani guy was good, and the parents were also good. The movie was slight bit funny and not too smaltzy
