I can't seem to send a private message

I seldom use the private messaging on this site, but on the two recent occasions that I have attempted to pm a member it seems it gets stuck in my outgoing folder. I compose the message to a member and after I hit send it shows up in my outgoing folder. It never shows up as being sent. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

PM's stay marked as in 'outbox' until read by the recipient and then they are in 'sent.' One possibility is the recipients PM space quota has been reached (PM's need to be deleted and not kept forever) or that whoever you sent it to just hasn't checked their PM's. Other than that I think it's working. Send me a test PM and I'll answer.

My PM quota hit 50 quite a few times since I have joined here, including this week. But there were at least a dozen that I wanted to keep, like the T Shirt design I did for Edgy. Bats used to send me some great Mets images that I enjoyed. I kinda stored those images there as a back-up. But I deleted all the just yakkin" PMs, saved most of the images to my external hard drive, and whittled the dozen down to 3 (image back-ups) and now I'm good to go. Or receive, for a while. I can say this. Sometimes the info at the top, that says how many of the 50 you have available, what % of fullness you have reached, is not correct. That's probably my own fault for abusing the PM system.

There's probably a way to up the quota, I'll check it out.

I have no idea. I didn't know that there different board styles. My technological ignorance is apparently the greatest obstacle to my inability to private message.

Okay playing around in the User Control panel settings I found something for board style. It has two options Roosevelt Avenue and Mezzanine. My preference is currently set on Roosevelt Avenue. Is this the new and old board style you are referring two? If so, what should my settings be?

Mezzanine is the new one, try it out! It's more phone/mobile device friendly. I sent you a PM, see if you can answer.

d'Kong76...Message received, thanks. I'll check out the newer (Mezzanine) style to se what it looks like.
