B. Nimmo opens with a base hit. I think the Mets want to get a bunch of guys in the top of the lineup who will see Martinez on opening day.

Mets settle for one. Discussion about how Martinez showed up in camp last year with his hair dyed blue, and the brass had to take him aside and have a talk about maturity. And yet, when Scott Spezio dyed his Satanic soul patch red for the post-season, he was being colorful. #WhitePrivilege

Two-run hit by Wecki. He gets thrown out going for second but he was seff. The Cards' catcher is named Carson Kelly. I'm guessing his dad was a fan of Giants linebackers.

Guillorme hits one a mile to center off of Bud Norris. A legit major league pitcher that! Guillorme only has two regular season homers on his minor league record!

Great story by Ron Darling about his first camp. Ron: "I was invited to camp by the Rangers as a 22 year old. I got a locker next to the great Buddy Bell, who at that time was one of the better players in the league." Keith: "GREAT guy." Ron: "Buddy walked over and talked to the clubhouse attendant and two seconds later, my locker was next to the washer and dryer."
