DeGrom whiffed the side in the 1st. Cespedes HR. Zimmo on base a couple times. Vargas gave up a Homer but relived pretty well. Plawecki a couple hits. Josh and Howie. 3-2 bad guys after 6.

Vargas fanned five through four innings. Looked good! Kept it around the plate and had everybody off balance, looking for the wrong stuff. Maybe exploiting the minor leaguers, but still!

Who is the Dude? A CPF-er? And Isn't this the (mid) part of Spring Training when pitchers get a "dead arm" and hitters start to get their swings together? Two runs and eight hits from probably the opening day lineup is not encouraging. Later
