EXPECTATIONS FOR 18: Ty Kelly

I'm a switch hitter. I play infield and outfield. I wear numbers in the fifties, and I'm funny. I'm kind of ideal to be the 25th guy on a roster. But I'm also ideal to try to sneak through waivers, and ideal to be claimed and end up going through the cycle elsewhere. Stupid rulez!! But I'm funny! And affable! And I have these sweet, sad, stray dog eyes! And though I'm generally pretty slight for a big-leaguer, I'm a little bulkier this spring. What'll that get me? You gots to tell me. WOCKA-WOCKA!! Love this guy, think he'll get a shot on and off and do okay but get a lot of fan love while he does it. He is not a shitty fielder for all his versatility, draws walks, has a clutch gene, understands his role. His goodness will index with how well the team does, and if that happens, he attains Matt Franco Bench God status and plays Santa Claus at the xmas party. TAKE IT TO THE BANK. 3 homers including a 3-run walkoff job to seal a come from behind win in August. Hits 267/340/390

There would be worse 25th men on a roster. Unfortunately, Reyes and/or Gonzalez has his job right now.
