Re: Citi Field Power Surge 2018

Cespedes's slam, his 27th Citi Field Mets home run, pulls him into a three-way tie for sixth place with Conforto and Murphy. Murphy so couldn't bear to watch the further chipping away of his Mets legacy that he didn't even show up.

Jordany's two most famous balls never went over the wall.

Notes from the just completed mostly futile homestand (but with an inspiring finish):

Conforto is alone in sixth place with 29.

Cabrera has tied Murphy for eighth place with 27.

Frazier has forged a four-way tie for 31st, alongside Turner, Barajas and Sheffield, with 5.

Also, Frazier is the third ex-MFY with multiple Subway Series HRs for the Mets, joining Granderson and the aforementioned Sheffield.

Flores up to 36 Citi Field regular-season home runs by a Met, within two of Curtis Granderson for third place.

Conforto up to 30, tying Ike Davis for fifth place.

Cabrera up to 28, tying Cespedes for seventh place.

Plawecki has made it a five-way tie for 31st with five (alongside Frazier, Turner, Barajas and Sheffield).

And Bautista is on the board with two.

Cory Sullivan -- that's who. A veritable triples machine in Citi Field's first season, when it theoretically built for three-base hits. Got a couple of homers in as well before moving on.

This thread is great. Love seeing the old names. Rod Barajas. 5 CitiField HR's. All of them came that one week right?
