Got any love for outfielder/firstbaseman Jeffrey Diehl of the St. Lucie Mets? Well Jeff stepped in to pitch a little in two games last year. This wasn't necessarily mopup work, either, as Metsmerizedonline.com pointed out at the time.

Diehl, on the other hand, has not only found success at the plate, but on the mound. Pressed for fresh bullpen arms on Monday, manager Chad Kretuer turned to Diehl, who trotted in from his position in left field and recorded the final out of the eighth inning to preserve a one-run lead. Diehl retired his man via the strikeout, no less, and was reported to have hit 96 mph on the radar gun.

Well saving a game and hitting 96 on the gun, to say nothing of getting passed by Tim Tebow on the depth chart, makes a man re-evaluate his career options. And now Jeff's a pitcher.

Know who else Tim Tebow passed on the depth chart last season? Columbia outfielder (and grammatically correct sentence) Jay Jabs. Now he's Columbia catcher Jay Jabs.

Good luck in your new deployments, gentlemen.
