Wheeler, Matz, Harvey--stay on the west coast, go to the 51s. Bring up any 3 of the 51s starters and they couldn't do any worse.

The thing about Wheeler is, he could be having a pretty good game, and cruising, and he's still going to struggle to give you five whole innings before hitting 100 pitches. And so it goes.

He's not throwing a bad game today, the hits (6) have been soft/seeing-eye for the most part and with some better decisions/defense he could still be scoreless. But, as usual, too many walks (2) and deep counts (lots) so it's taken him Five-1/3 innings worth of pitches (80) just to get through Four.

I'm exaggerating, slightly, but it's pathetic that they keep trotting out garbage starters 3 days out of 5. OK: I retract the statement as an action plan and after looking at the 51s roster, consider it to be hyperbole.

Bmfc1, bro, come in off the ledge. It's nice in here. Osterdonk brought a quarter- keg of pumpkin ale and there's a hot dog bar set up in the kitchen. Bacon wrapped hot dogs with countless (can I say countless here?) accompaniments. #LGM
