Anybody got this one?

I don't know how I've made it this far without a Charlie O'Brien memoir.

Since you brought it up, name the 13 Cy Young award winners O'Brien caught, in one post

Re: Mets Bookshelf 2018

Can you come up with a reason why he’s depicted as a Blue Jay and not a Met (New York market), Brave (still a nationally respected franchise) or Brewer (spent same amount of years (3 and change) as he did as a Met)?

I was being snarky based on Edgy thinking Dallas Green’s autobio cover showing him in a Yankee jacket (with no logo visible) was done deliberately by the publisher to get some MFYLBs to spend money on it.

Well jeez, anybody could've done that. I asked for all 13, not nine of them. I wasn't just looking for the easy no-brainer answers. Hey, who broke Babe Ruth's HR record in 1974? Name the corrupt sociopath scumbag that's currently the USA president?

Lol, batmags whips out his hickory stick and gives SJR a crack on the knuckles
and adds some dark sarcasm in the classroom. Hey, batmags! Leave them kids
alone!
Good job so far, Steve.

Carry on.

Re: Mets Bookshelf 2018

I read the names already in this Ron Kaplan post, which does a great job in explaining how the title of "Cy Young Catcher" is a terribly flimsy hook for O'Brien to hang his mask on.

I'd guess Javy Lopez has caught the most ever innings from Cy Young winners while they were actually in the process of winning a Cy Young.

OE: Maybe Tim McCarver would be a candidate as well, especially considering the bigger workloads in his time.

I've never visited that site, looks like a treasure chest of content. I clicked on
our very old friend's link and saw this picture and wonder if we could have done
something to save him - an intervention or the like...
