American women finish 1-2, taking five of the top six spots, including the first American winner since 1985.

American men finish third and fourth.

Yeah! Go, Patriots!

Well, there are different types of bad weather, but weather was certainly a factor.

Re: Boston

Men's winner is a Japanese civil servant who runs a marathon every month, but doesn't run professionally.

Re: Boston

I checked, and the 3rd place woman was Canadian, giving us a North American Top 6.

Maybe we need to invent a rain machine so we can just dominate every year.... or make the marathon a New Years Day event!

Des Linden is a good Michigander! Those weather conditions don't scare us.

Top finishers here:

#13 for the women works at my wife's firm. She is a terrific person and my wife's unofficial running coach. She kicks ass.

Serious question, where are all the Kenyans? Usually they dominate the top 5-10.

Re: Boston

They are totally delpless.

I am contemplating a way to attend this year's Klassik Dubble Bill when it comes to NYC:

Steve Miller Band + Peter Frampton.

I'll be Pete gets the "headliner" slot even though the former are RnRHoFers and he's not

Does she run on leaded or unleaded water? Leaded would seem an unfair
octain advantage.

Saw "Tom & Friends" here in the 'Cuse last summer. They were great as I hoped they would be.

Sweet!

I don't know if we spoke about that debut album when we discussed perfect albums a while back. But there's not a bad cut on there.
