Anyone watching Petey pitch? I see he's through 2 innings and has allowed 2 hits, including a HR to Pujols, but how's he look?

Dark-skinned and skinny but with much neater hair than last season.

Which is all the more reason why any mention of that name should be forever stricken from anything Metly.

So let it be written
So let it be done.

Interesting. Zambrano relieved in the fourth and gave up another 2-run dinger to Pujols.

4-2 St. Louis.

Why are they running Zambrano out there?

Oh, please...

How can you hate a little boy who plays the accordion?

Come on, everybody! Let's all sing "Lady of Spain!"

Ummm, perhaps because it's 5 days before his scheduled start?

I wasn't too fond of Connie Francis, either. (I believe she started out playing the accordion as Concheta Ann Franconera on one of the old amateur talent shows.)

But "Weird Al " is an entirely different story.

Zambrano making a great audition to become the Cardinals batting practice pitcher.

Now he's leaving the mound, not because the Cardinals are beating him silly, but because he appears to have hurt himself.

Damn Doc that's all we need, Heilman may yet start.

Pujols with 3 dingers today.

Dude is locked in.

I have him in one fantasy league that drafted last night, but I completely forgot about the draft, and now my team sucks ass. No points for SB, yet autodraft selected Reyes in the 3rd round and Furcal in the 4th.

sigh.

Any updates on Zambrano?

Petey got knocked around a bit.

4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, 1 HR

Zambrano got knocked around a ton before suffering what's called a hamstring sprain. He's currently considered day-to-day.

2.7 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 2 HR

Feliciano responded to locking up a slot in the pen by pitching quite well:
2.3 IP, 2 H, 2 K.

Reyes WALKED TWICE--AGAIN! He also went 2-2 and was caught stealing (I'm assuming by freakshow "ooh, look at my strong right arm" Molina).

We lost 9-6. Fortunately, we put up a 4 spot in the bottom of the ninth, otherwise it would've been an embarassing 9-2.
