Met bats spot Lima 2 runs in the top of the 1st ... and then man battling for the final spot in the rotation (and possibly his baseball life) coughs up a 5 spot in the bottom

"He's a veteran. He's just getting his work in"
Jim Rome has said the Lima was "on the bubble" to become the Mets' fifth starter. Looks like the bubble just burst.

Looks like Iriki got cuffed some too -- 3 walks, 2 hits, 3 runs in one inning.

Feliciano is on now trying to lose HIS job.

In positive news looks like we're hitting some today -- Reyes, Beltran with a couple hits each and were losing 9-5.

When was Lima ever a candidate for anything other than spot starter/mopup guy? Further proof that you don't have to actually know anything to get your own show on ESPN.

Im still glad we gave Lima a shot.
He was worth a look-see.
And so was that side view picture of his wife. :)

You win some - Jose may have just pitched himself off the team - good riddance
You lose some - his wife will be missed in the Met wives picture thread.

watching the lowlights on SNY, Lima was pretty bad but had a good second inning...probably curtains for him though.
