Wow, this makes it possible for her to come back to New York and resume her, uh, career

How funny would it be if she married one of the single Mets?

That can't be true.

I'm guessing April Fool's.

A little early.

]"Some people are already seeing the trade as a negative thing. There are a lot of things that don't add up when it comes to the reasoning behind it," he said. "There's a lot of heresy, a lot of rumors floating around about the reason why. Lately, a lot of people are suspecting foul play in terms of one thing being said and the truth being different."

The first part of that paragraph makes some sense. The second part... just what is he saying there?

perhaps Anna seduced David Wright and Benson was traded away to protect the face of the franchise?

If this turns out to be no joke, I can't wait to hear his side of it

Frayed Knot

Here's what I suspect:

- Anna files on grounds of the marriage being "irretrievably broken"

- Kris counter-sues on the grounds of; 'da bitch got me shipped to the freakin' Orioles'!!

- The terms of the agreement also stipulate that the Mets retain sole custody of Jorge Julio

......so they're not gonna pitch for Baltimore.

Too bad.

]using the advice of esteemed pitching coach Leo Mazzone to take his game to a higher level.

Hmmm. Considering some of the "games" they've reportedly played, maybe she should have stuck with him.

From the Daily News:

]Sexpot Anna Benson and her ex-Met hubby are headed for Splitsville after she caught him fooling around with one of her friends, the Daily News has learned.

. . .

What's bad for Kris Benson could be good for new teammates Miguel Tejada, Melvin Mora and the rest of the O's.

Anna Benson once vowed to sleep with every one of her husband's teammates if she caught him in the sack with another woman.

"I told him, 'Cheat on me all you want.' If you get caught, I'm going to [have sex with] everybody on your entire team," she told Howard Stern on his radio show in 2004. "Everyone would get a turn."

But Anna Benson's spokesman warned the Orioles not to get their hopes up. "I think she was joking," Feiler said.

He THINKS she's joking?

Hmmm, she can pose nude, tell all about their love life, embarrass the entire team, and generally act out 24/7, but if Kris has one dallience (is that a word?), it's adios, amigo?

Edgy style footnote: Not condoning dallience (if that's a word), just wondering why the double standard

Because she publicly said she would do it.Sort of a "mid-nup".

So why did the Mets trade Kris Benson for a useless reliever again? Maybe they should have asked Kris how that whole marriage thing was going before dumping him because of his wife.

Rotblatt
Mar 31 2006 08:05 AM

Or maybe they should have locked Benson in a room with 2 bottles of champagne, a fragrant candle, a king-sized bed, and Lima's wife for 24 hours.

Messin' around with the wife's friend? Guess Kris never heard of the
ol' three bridges rule.

If I was writing the script, it would come out that she put her friend up to
seducing Kris so she can catch him.

]three bridges rule

Google isn't helping me. I'm guessing this is a rule that says you shouldn't fool around unless there are three bridges seperating your wife and your girlfriend.

Yancy Street Gang
Mar 31 2006 09:38 AM

That may work in New York, but what's a married guy in Phoenix supposed to do?

KC
Mar 31 2006 09:39 AM

The bridges are metaphorical.

. . . because she wanted an excuse to sleep with all the Orioles?

Elster88
Mar 31 2006 01:33 PM

Because she wanted an excuse to divorce him and take half his money.

A ten minute side sequence could be slowly panning into a candle lit
living room and two scantily-clad women are lounging on a large sofa
sipping Bordeux and making fun of the video they took of the encounter
and then engaging in a little soft porn make out session with each other.

And just mere weeks after their romantic FHM interview in which she promised him he could live out many men's fantasies 50x over if he won the Cy Young.

I feel sorry for their kids.

I wonder how long before she's on the Stern Show talking about this?

According to the 2005 Media Guide, the kids are stepdaughter Alyssa, 12, daughter Haylee, 5, and son P.J., 9.

P.J. is the Family Circus infant, doomed by his youth to never get the cute lines that his older siblings get.

I actually met one of those 'Family Circus' kids (now in his 40s or so).
I think it was Jeffey but I'm not sure.

Maybe it's just me but I don't find Anna to be anything special. I see better looking women every day at convenience stores all over town.

And she has a fat mouth to boot.

Pass.

i've said it before but i agree with 62, take the subway during rush hour you'll see a dozen better looking women every day.

As a forum, I don't think the Anna index was too high. The recent turn of
events is just plain amusing to me.

It may have been to save the remaining Mets from a potential STD outbreak.*
