Who was the first Met younger than you? And for you older folks, who was the last Met older than you?

I was just working off the UMDB. Basically, you know which years to start looking; it can only be a few years, no?

Not that I know of, although I can probably slap one together. I did mine from memory.

First Met I remember being older than me: Gil Hodges (although I would have thought Duke Snider was older, Clem Labine, too.)

I immediately guessed that Gregg Jefferies was the first younger than me, but he's older than me by a month.

Grant Roberts was the first Met younger than me. There are still plenty of Mets older than me.

Looks like we're a club. And the first Brave younger than me was Andres Thomas (11/10/1963). Julio Franco works for oldest here, too.

Edgardo Alfonzo 11/08/1973, who made his debut in 1995, is the first Met younger than me. Still don't have to worry about "last Met older."

First Met younger: Stan Jefferson, if he was born later in the day than I was. Otherwise it's David Cone.
