All right, let's do it (If I'm not doing this right, feel free to correct me).

Good choices. Please hold for a response...

Yeah, but my 'Breakers have been rallying of late, holding their own against the 'oo, and leading AC/DC until getting thundastruck by sweeps on the last ballots.

"Even the Losers" is making its first appearance and is 2-2-1 in a contest the Heartbreakers are otherwise losing.

An unexpected thrashing from the liberal knothead.

I'm just upset that 'Well Respected Man' wasn't entered, appealing as it does to the fuck-the-ruling-class

Thinks were trending the Heartbreakers way until Rottie came along, but it's still a tightie, 51-49, with many voters still lined up outside.

This has to be the most difficult one to score yet.
|
sharpie Mar 28 2006 12:03 PM |
Kinks win 56-54. Petty could taste the victory but he's still gonna look like skin and bones.

Edgy DC Mar 28 2006 12:33 PM |
I ever meet Petty, I'm gonna punch him one.

Johnny Dickshot Mar 28 2006 01:30 PM |
Sucks for Petty. He's been in every contest but falls just short each time.
|
Edgy DC Mar 28 2006 01:33 PM |
Freakin' Petty and the freakin' Heartbreakers --- a handful of "Thunder Road"s but no "Born to Run."
|
Johnny Dickshot Mar 28 2006 02:17 PM |
I was counting 'Thunder Road' as near-unbeatable opponent.
|
Edgy DC Mar 28 2006 04:41 PM |
I'm similarly hearing the Ramonies calling out to that holdout KC.

I'm waiting for Elster to pick someone, anyone.

I missed the Q104.3 list thread before it was moved to the archives. What a bizarre list. What are the standards they use for classic rock? Velvet Revolver has a song on the list and their first album came out three years ago. Bon Jovi has a song on the list that came out last year. If Nirvana and Pearl Jam can be considered classic rock, where are all the other great songs from the early 1990's? No Smashing Pumpkins? Only one Chili Peppers song? Where's Hootie?!?!
|
Edgy DC Mar 29 2006 12:32 PM |
Obviously Velvet Revolver borrow their classic rock authenticity from Guns and Roses. New Bon Jovi borrows it from old Bon Jovi.
