new stadium coming to Tampa's historic Ybor City area. Currently a bunch of nothing under the highway

But with glass, so that grass can grow? Maybe they've learned a better way to do this than Houston fifty years ago?

They're saying a fixed translucent dome -- which seems like a big mistake -- but I don't see a mention of real grass. Looks pretty small.

Would be the smallest ballpark, 28K capacity, may as well be a hockey arena.

Also no one currently knows who will pay for all this so finished product could be different

Like the Mets' breakthrough retractable-dome/retractable-field ballpark, possibly at the Navy Yards.

I know who'll pay for it- the taxpayers of the Tampa-St. Pete region.

Whenever I hear someone complain about Citi Field, I think about that design where the playing field slid outside. I notice no one else has gone for that....
