To all the nice people up there.
In Canada, "Open Carry" means a beer.

Re: Happy Canada Day

I'm headed there on Friday!

Was hoping to go and see the Mets this week, but because of the holiday we had to push it back until the weekend. So instead of the Mets, we get the MFYs. We can root, root, root for the home team. Have not been to Skydome in ages, so this will be fun.

My sister's living in Toronto, so I've got a refuge in case...….well, you know.

I'll miss you by a day. We're going to Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec City on a working (for me) vacation. Driving to Buffalo on Tuesday and taking trains from there. We'll be in TO Tuesday-Thursday.

Does she have any extra rooms? My wife and I promise to not make a mess and leave the noise down.

OE: Now I'm not sure. The Maple Leafs just signed John Tavares away from the Islanders.
Oh Canada my ass.

Like anyone who's lived in Canada as long as she has, she's unfailingly polite to houseguests. You may have to put up with her quilting obsession, though.

Excited about the trip! The hotel is just a block or so from the Hockey Hall of Fame, though I'm sure it will be the replica cup on display. Also plan to go up in the CN Tower, which I haven't done.
