I have many groups of friends My dear Mets friend (you). My real life friends. My Facebook friends Some of all this intermingles! Please be aware I have been imbibing for hopefully the last reason I will have. I have been trying valiantly to face my demons and maybe this will be the horrible answer If you are Facebook friends with me you know I have lost my dear sister, my family’s rock, and my church’s faithful servant It is now left to me and my brother, both free spirits, to continue our dear mothers course through life without our darling sister Beautiful in so many ways, Vicki was a gift to this earth. I won’t pretend that no one else here has lost a dear , precious person. I know most of us have. May dear sister Vicki died on Saturday evening after an almost to-the-day four year battle with brain cancer. She died on her sons 40th birthday. I am at a loss for words but please keep my mom in your thoughts or prayers

Losing a big sister sucks, as do long slow diseases that take them away. You have our best!

Cooby, So very, very sad to hear bout your loss. Your sister sounds like a wonderful person and a tough person, too! These are traits I see and admire in her sister as well.

My condolences as well! I'm the oldest of three, and I hope that both of my two younger sisters outlive me.

Thank you everybody. It was a tough week somewhat tempered by the overwhelming love shown to our family in regard to Vicki. So many people... But Vicki was a true believer and if there is a Heaven (and I think there is) she is there now. And that is our comfort.

Cooby, my wife lost her brother when he was 40, so I can understand the pain. She will continue to live in your heart and mind through the memories of the times you shared with her. Nothing but love to you and your family. Later
