I'm not so sure about that. If the Mets go outside the organization for a new GM, the new guy might very well insist on the ability to select his own manager.

Plawecki is a real disappointment himself. when was the last time he had a memorable turn at the dish? I feel like he might have had some but I cannot remember them. 2nd time hes gotten opportunities due to d'arnaud being out, 2nd time he has failed bigly
