Heard from some not so experienced sources ( grandkids) that lightening bugs don;t bite. I could disagree. Drained a good 8 inches from pool these past few weeks. Have not grilled yet. Have swam in pool. No big tomatoes but several grape tomatoes. Jalepeno peppers picked. Several ticks picked :( At least three more friends that have Lyme disease (in addition to the previous friends). Getting paranoid about walking out back. Something (deer?) keep eating the top of my sunflowers My sweetheart outdoor cat Midnight and her friend Pierce seem to be doing okay. I will continue to take care of them as long as they are here :D] But dam I love summer!

I love it too. Running in the heat, biking, the beach, the park pool, water parks, as much time outdoors as I can squeeze into my day. My wife and I are playing on a four person co-ed beach volleyball team on Thursdays and Fboy plays there on Mondays. And the season for us builds to a crescendo as the last 13 days of summer, locally, are all about the Great New York State Fair, which happens just 15 minutes away.

Yesterday afternoon, we dangled our toes in the pool. Of course, the pool was a $9.99 plastic kiddy pool from Target. But it was perfect.

Gah. Frozen. I have a wife and two nieces who sing it incessantly. Me, I like the heat. So of course where are we going on vacation? Iceland.

Icelanders are really nice, the scenery is awesome and Reykjavík is really cool. but everything’s super expensive.
