'Who the hell is Max Muncy?' is the better question. Turned 28 y/o last week. 41st round draft pick out of HS, then went to Baylor U and upped himself to a 5th round pick by Oakland (2012). Got a little more than 200 ABs w/Oak in 2015 + 2016, hitting .175 with 5 HRs. Oakland released him on Opening Day 2017 then was picked up by the Dodgers a month later and spent the entire year in AAA Now he's hitting .257/.382/.589 w/31 HRs in 331 ABs No Kershaw in this series but we'll see three left-handers anyway.

Can we stop wasting time with Austin Jackson? We can see why SF and TEX released him and his good field, so-so bat. I don't need to see any more of him, or Meso, or Wilmer. Bruce is edging close to that list, too.

Jackson hasn't been an elite defensive centerfielder for a while, and is not even good at this point (the Fielding Bible has him at -15 runs saved on the year). Nimmo remains our best defensive outfielder, in addition to being our best hitter (with all due respects to my new favorite player, Jeff McNeil).

Well, he came into the game hitting .305. And he joined the team at a point where they were loaded with lefthanded outfielders and needed somebody righthanded. He goes back on the ball in center better than Conforto and Nimmo. Those guys come in on the ball nicely and cover the gaps (Nimmo moreso) well, but over-the-head has been no-man's-land for the two of them.
