emmy awards

I didn't watch it this year, but my 2 favorite shows, GAME OF THRONES and MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL won top honors as best drama and comedy (respectively). The other shows that i love that got some bling include JOHN OLIVER, THE CROWN and WESTWORLD. Other winners included Bill Hader's BARRY and the western series GODLESS, as well as the perennially acclaimed THE AMERICANS, all of which are shows i've watched a little of and plan to binge at some point. HANDMAID'S TALE got lots of noms but shut out this year, after winning many last season. Sort of appropriate, as the show (and novel) are becoming more and more prophetic every day. I watch SNL more out of habit than conscious choice, so its wins are a bit confusing to me. I did not see the GIANNI VERSACE tv mini-series, nor do i intend to, so i won't know how deserved its wins were. Same with RuPaul and whatever "7 SECONDS" was.

My emmy award goes to Stone. Edging out Watson and Doc McStuffin's neighbor.

I didn't watch either, but I'm glad to see that Mrs. Maisel won both Best Comedy and Best Actress. Both well-deserved.

They haven’t set a firm date but it’s supposed to be this year. And they’ve already greenlighted a third season.
