It's a partisan political war! Everyone can speak for 5 minutes as the NL East Champs face the Mets at Citi Field. This game won't feel anti-climactic after last night, right? What's at stake for the Mets? Jose Lobaton has 2 HR's off Teheran as does Jay Bruce. Vargas has a 6.14 ERA v ATL this year (14.2). Markakis has 2 HR off Vargas, like that's difficult. No Freddie Freeman for ATL. METS: 1. Vargas final ERA is 5.77. Clearly a great option for next season. No need to spend on the rotation this winter!
