That Noah card is cool! How does he make the ball float like that?

That's pretty cool that the shutout prevented the deGrom season sweep. Had the manager lifted Syndergaard again after six or seven innings, or had the offense put up five runs instead of one, the voting might have shifted a tick, and history may have been deGrom's.

Matz pitched pretty well down the stretch. Seems healthy-ish. I guess what we're seeing is that this guy can be a serviceable back of the rotation starter.

As always, the cards as glorious!

I think it was mostly that Syndergaard had six starts in September while deGrom had just five.

But he still needed about 5.8 points in that last start, and he got 6. So a more ordinary start from Syndergaard on Sunday and deGrom would have swept.

Yeah, I don't have much of a feel for those point spreads and how far apart Noah was from Jake, being that I don't participate. I mean, actually, I know how far apart they were numerically, but I don't know what that means, or how close it really was. Still, what would Jake have needed to do to beat Noah if he had that sixth start?

If deGrom had one more start, he would have just had to avoid getting shelled in order to pass Syndergaard.

That rainout continues to haunt deGrom!

It occurs to me that deGrom might just be in a position to win Schaefer Mets pitcher of the year, SHaM Young, and be featured on the winning TCD cover.

As I cast my 6.0 for Sydnergaard for September 30, it occurred to me this performance was probably going to cost Jake September pitching honors. Oh well, at least it went to another Met.
