Meh. Might as well go with Plawecki and Nido, and I don't want to do that. We need someone who can hit.

You really got be high on catcher metrics to want Maldonado. I'll keep Plawecki's bat, thanks.

I'll take his _Batting eye_ and his .330 OBP over the last two years. Sure, his overall numbers are roughly league average, but I'll take making fewer outs over the more nebulous catcher defense boost you'd get from Maldonado who can't hit a lick.
