When I vote, in the back of my mind I want the eventual winner to be something my grandkids will be proud of visiting when they visit Stockholm in 20 years.
I don't want that cover to be about an embarrassing moment or incident.
I want it to be something people will look at and feel good, something positive.
So I couldn't vote for the lineup screw-up.
It was something we'd rather forget than remember.

I really don't like either of these.

I generally like real photos better than any photoshop or cartoon. But I really don't see any value to that dugout shot. It almost looks like someone took that picture by accident.

The dugout pic shows a wet floor and players taking cover, its kinda hard to see in the reproduction here

I totally don't understand the remark further above about the grandkids. I'll remember Callaway the rest of my life for the lineup screwup, it was for better or worse his most distinctive moment of his tenure thus far and emblematic of the year we're reviewing. What else is this whole thing about? A blowout loss on a rainy day is far more common and will be forgotten about much sooner.

I can't relate to most of the comments in this tournament. I guess people would rather vote for a hideous David Wright cover over a Picasso of a back page because one is supposed to be "uplifting" or because Wright's such a fan favorite while the masterpiece depicts a negative event. To each his own, I guess.

I vote for the image that's most visually appealing, even if it's a bad news cover. But it is very much "to each his own". I deliberately didn't create any criteria beyond "the cover you like best" because if I put any rules on how you should vote, it would inevitably cause confusion.

It was a battle between a rain delay and a lineup snafu, and the rain delay won! IT'S RAININ' METS advances to the fourth round and becomes a member of the Elite Eight.

Maybe it's just my perspective, but those zebras look awfully small.

No trip to the Serengeti for the employee who is usually on the right? Visa issues?

Shelby claims to be allergic to zebras, so we had to get Bob to fill in for her.

When I was a kid, we never heard of a zebra allergy. Now, it's every third kid in the classroom: Ooooh, I'm allergic to zebras!

And you wonder why millennials need everything done for them!
