Ty becomes one with the Angels after electing for minor league free agency at the end of the year, ending his second tour of duty with the Mets with a 1-for-11 2018. Small-framed for a big-leaguer, handsome-but-dour in appearance, and as originally funny a Met as has come through in a long time.

The last (or most recent) Met to reach base in a postseason game, with a pinch-hit in the eighth inning of the 2016 Wild Card Game. A quarter of the offense against Madison Bumgarner that night.
