KTE - Florida Marlins @ NY Mets.

Hi fellow CPFers, tonight the Marlins come to Shea, although it's a very different team form the one last year, in case you didn't know the Marlins traded away just about every player with value , they did keep Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera , chances are probably high that Cabrera gets traded this season, has a shitty attitude apparently. First year manager for the Marlins is Joe Girardi, you just know he's going to make a great manager, why?, because he comes for the MFY tradition just like Lee Mazzilli did, how did that work out.... (why do I feel the need to tweak the MFY) Probable Pitchers Vargas Human Rain Delay Dontrelle Willis, LHP (0-0, 0.00) Marlins (1-2) Tom Glavine, LHP (1-0, 1.50) Mets (2-1) Sunday Sergio Mitre, RHP (1-0, 0.00) Marlins (1-2) Victor Zambrano, RHP (0-0, -.--) Mets (2-1) News & Notes The Mets are getting a new stadium, last night Jeff Wilpon was on SNY saying that they are actively shopping for naming rights but that Bill Shea would be properly honored in some way. The Marlins of course aren't getting a new stadium which is one reason they were force to tade away players, it's a shame really because that should be a very successful franchise. I don't think they would give up Cabrera for Nady, Diaz, and Milledge, but we should at least ask....assuming we can reach a long term deal with Cabrera.

I was going to mention that if you want to piss Elster off then call Jacobs Jake Monster...dude be carefull saying that you'll bomb a house, never know who's snooping on us.

Good point. No bombing will be performed. My apologies to anyone who was offended. (Though if anyone was offended, they need to lighten the fuck up.) Reminds me of when Kevin Garnett went on a hilarious rant before a playoff series saying he was loading up the weapons, getting out the rocket launchers and chains and bats....and the media ripped into him for it.

Maybe you've been too banged up to perform optimally, maybe you're feeling pressure having to replace Wide Bee Gee, a CPF legend, but we've got a high level of frustration going on here, and we want you to know that we expect more out of you and we watch this board very closely, so we will notice when you perform well, and we would prefer to make loud positive noises if only you'll give us something to cheer about, so please get your game together and let's enjoy a great season.
