Lo Duca on mad dog

MD asked him about calling pitches for Trachsel last night, said that Trax called for about 2 pitches and LoDuca called the rest. Especially with Cabrera, where LoDuca felt that having played with "Miggy" he understood how dangerous it was to come inside on him. Seems very active in setting strategy for dealing with hitters, and Trachsel at least seems okay with throwing what Lo Duca calls for.

I wonder how many catchers call their own games anymore. It seems that a bunch of them look to the dugout for signals from the manager or pitching coach. (Which, I think, is micromanaging.)
