beautifully remastered archival footage.
excellent use of the actual soldiers to tell the story.
that said, here's two hours summed up in five-ish sentences:
"I was excited when the war began and I'm glad I went-- could never live with myself if I hadn't. But once we left England, things changed. Long spells of tedium, punctuated by ferocious battles. And the enemy was just like us. The war wasn't worth it-- it rarely is."
