Mets try and bring down what are likely baseball's two best teams at once. Corey Oswalt leads the B-squad in Kissimmee, Florida, where Travis d'Arnaud is batting third and has doubled. The A-squad is hosting in St. Lucie, where Steven Matz has just given up a four-run second, capped by a three-run homer by Gorkys Hernandez.

Mets take the lead in Kissimee on homers by Alonso and Thompson, but Houston ties it up with a Garrett Stubbs homer off of Sewald.

Nimmo went 0-3 with three whiffs before coming out. I'm going to blame the virus. Tebow is 2-3. Single by Mazeika and doubles by J.D. Davis and Dominion Smith and the Boston lead is down to 8-3.

Peterson finishes up with a poifect ninth and the Mets take the 'Stros, 7-4. Intriguing eighth by Ryan O'Rourke with a hit and a walk sandwiched around three strikeouts.

The Astros are on West Palm Beach now, of course. But it was fun how the team, when it played on the outskirts of Orlando, worked to avoid being called the Kissimee Astros! I think the minor league team even went by Oscola Country Astros for a while.
