Edgy sucks, frankly. He gave a thread to J.D. "Boss Hogg" Davis. He gave a thread to "Voodoo" Chili Davis. But he gave me shit.

I've played more than 1,400 games in the majors. I've stolen 415 bases, including 21-28 last season, and that total is third among active players, and the two guys ahead of me, José Reyes and Ichiro Suzuki, are only nominally active.

But I guess being here on a minor league dealowitz means I'm sorta kinda only nominally active myself. I hear what you're saying: "Rajai, you were really great, but you're 38."

And I guess more than a few of you are saying, "Rajai, you weren't really that great at all. You've had a long career, but your lifetime OPS comes to .690 — as an outfielder — and not a lot of GMs would like that number guaranteed at the start of the season?"

Well, I don't know if all that's true. A team needs a centerfielder. And if Lagares gets hurt and Broxton gets hurt and Nimmo gets hurt and Gregor Blanco possibly Conforto gets hurt too, I'M gonna be that guy. Makes you want to show a little more respect, doesn't it?

How much respect? Well, let me no know in the thread below.

Or else he'll be the Crash Davis of Syracuse.

Re: Hey, Nineteen: Rajai Davis

He never replace Roger Craig as a notable "Rog" in Mets lore.

In fact, he won't be the most notable Rajai because he'll be gone before the season starts.
