Mets release one of the rescuers of their 2016 Wild Card bid. T.J.'s not having suitably recovered from TJS cited as reason for release.

I don't wanna say told ya so but this is not surprising at all. He was a low-drafted longshot with one tool who had to put it all together and need just the right circumatances (injuries and weakness on the parent club) simply to get the shot he already did. To expect that kind of fleeting moment to happen all over again after losing a year to injury and with the team and others in the org doing all they can to make you unnecessary is just too much to ask. More than a low-drafted longshot, he was an undrafted amateur free agent. Nonetheless, he was my favorite T.J. since they canceled S.W.A.T.
