XITG, 3/24, WAS@NYM

It's 4-4 in the sixth with the Mets coming from behind twice.

Conforto just got a bunt single and I wept. It wasn't a good bunt at all but he made it without a throw.

Nimmo has a new thing. When he takes a pitch he thinks is ball four, and takes a step or two toward first as the ump calls a strike, he used to look sheepish. Now he makes an angry face that tells both the ump and the pitcher that he's barely tolerating them getting away with that one.

Bases-loaded double by McNeilio and the Mets break it open to an 8-4 lead.

And 8-4 good guys is your final.

Lagares homered.

4 RBI for McNeil.

Alonso TRIPLED!

Dom Smith with an o-fer.

Zach Lee with 4 scoreless innings (6 hits allowed) for the win.

Lee pitched well, but he wasn't scoreless.

Simeon Woods-Richardson pitched the third inning, while big-league opponents were still in the game. He gave up three runs, but improbably, he appeared against major league hitters while having only thrown 11 1/3 innings in the Gulf Coast League and 6 more in the Appy League as a professional.
