Nice of the Marlins to move the game up a whole hour due to the Mets day game tomorrow in Queens. Meanwhile, WSH is playing this afternoon so they will be in New York, resting or perhaps going to a museum or a show, while the Mets are still playing in Miami.

They really have a lot of guys whose name ends with an O. Six in today's lineup. Maybe one day I'll use the UMDB to see what the record is for most same-ending-letter-names in one starting lineup.

Weird fuckup by the infield ends as an E-6. Rosario may have gotten caught deferring to his elder when he needs to take COMMAND. Anyhow, all it did was give deGrom another chance to strike out a guy, and of course he did.

Howie was questioning the decision to stay with Avilan for two. I guess he doesn't really do that. It shows. More importantly it burns him for tomorrow. Which was my issue. Why is Tim Peterson even on this team if he can't pitch in 6-0 games.

I got no problem with Avilan for two. I think fewer, longer appearances is healthier for a pen than lotso' shorter appearances.

My problem is that in the first week of the season, you've had a 7-run lead in the 9th and a 6-run lead in the 9th, and you've had to use your closer both times. That's not a good trend.
