Uniwatch has a ticker item today about the cool jackets Mets alumni get, with a patch including both Shea and Citi. This is from a DiComo tweet, and said it's part of Jay Horwitz's efforts. That's Turk Wendell, not wearing his tooth and claw necklace.

Rick Reed needs one.

Nice blog post about where guys have ended up. Lots of Ducks. Didn't know Murph got hurt, or that Harvey was rocked for 8 runs in his second start.

Rick Reed needs one.

Johnny Franco wouldn't let him have one.

Here's the missing image because, like most college hoops fans, your brackets were messed up.

Re: Mets alumni

Reeder was Ed Coleman's interview today, during which the pitcher thanked his infield defense by name, pausing to include Carlos Baerga, which I found classy and beautiful.

The pregame show segment was sponsored by a union, though not the Irony Workers Local 1994.

In the end, Rick Reed was a two-time all star who made about $30 million from baseball. Good for him. John Franco could go and fuck himself -- a selfish prick who thought that the main purpose of the Mets was to create an atmosphere for Franco to accumulate saves.

Re: Mets alumni

Listening to Reed's in-game interview*, it seems that he, like Dr. Lecter once said about Clarice Starling, can't quite get the West Virginia out of his voice.

* not sure that I ever heard him speak so much at once

Does the Irony Workers Union represent labor in New York's stand-up comedy clubs?

Seriously. That would be super fun.

I always thought Reed got shafted too. He was a HUGE piece of those teams, regardless of the history.
