Forecast implies a delay. Given where we were a week ago regarding deGrom, what's a couple extra hours? Or maybe a day.

The Brewers are certainly unlikely to lose this game, but over the course of the series, they really did the Mets a favor by going to the pen so early in game one.

Be sure to appropriately blame him in our handy poll. What a disappointing night! Turned off the Mets to DVR the Islanders, watched that game come its disappointing conclusion and re-tuned in in time to see what a mess they'd continue to make.

The Mets lost, deGrom was awful, and fans wasted their money (or sat through a 2 1/2 delay and the half-assed ticket exchange doesn't impress me) but at least the Wilpons didn't have to lose a home gate by playing a doubleheader today and that's really what counts.

this is true. the home team decides whether to call the game up until it actually starts. the yankees would have called the game off and saved their ace.

It's outrageous that they started the game at all -- no matter who was scheduled to pitch. The game started at about 10:30. That's when the game should be ending.
