So, am I correctly understanding that The Rusty Staub Foundation is ceasing operations?

It appears so. From their website contact form page.
GENERAL INQUIRIES

If possible, please limit your inquiries to only those that are in regard to the legacy of the foundation. The Rusty Staub Foundation is no longer active in fund raising event endeavours and donation procurement.

That's a God's honest fucking shame.

It was completely driven by Rusty. Really surprised they couldn't find someone to carry on the mission considering how much good it did.

Yeah, there's got to be no shortage of warm glad-handing ex-ballplayers who can get their friends together for a golf tournament. That's certainly a fraction of what Rusty did, but one or more faces and a staff of a half dozen peeps to do the grant-writing and advocacy and event organization, plus an unpaid board of peeps representing Staub's legacy in New York, Houston, Detroit and New Orleans is a workable goal.

Somebody just has to get the ball rolling.

Today, I learned there's no Mets Radio Network and no Rusty Staub Foundation.

Fuck today.
