Not shameless at all. There's another popular song that uses it too but I can't think of it off the top of my head. Wonder if they have to pay royalties for a few notes.

I imagine he and Richards are good enough friends to share a few notes from time to time. The other song I was thinking was Money for Nothing but that's not as note for note as I was first thinking. Where's that lineup, this is a baseball thread!

Wheels is dealin'. Most of these hits by MIA were seeing eye singles. Big lead for the good guys and a Kinks song. That's already a solid day right there.

its time to rest Wheeler after 96 pitches, we are going to need more of him this season. The Marlins suck and beating them is expected. Whether tonight is just another win or a GOOD win for me is now going to depend on whether the Mets can rest their overtaxed bullpen and get 9 more outs with the interchangeable AAA express guys and not using the better relievers needlessly

Yeah, this would be a very frustrating game for Wheeler (and for the Mets ... and for us) were it not for the big 1st inning.

Ten of the (so far) 18 outs Wheeler has are on K's. That means that, with the Marlins sitting at 9 hits thru 6 innings, more than half the balls they've put in play have gone for hits, most of them varying from soft

to very soft (a lot like the ice cream Keith was just talking about).

Fortunately, with a big lead all that 'bad luck' hardly matters.

And this is what ESPN has never learned.

They run their feature, usually an interview, while shrinking the game part of the screen because they pre-decided that that's what they were going to do rather than because the game situation allows it.

They snagged Sabathia for an interview about a week ago and it was as if the game ceased to exist as it was going on, but that was in maybe the 4th inning of a close game.

Congratulations, Northwell Health and the Katz Women's Institute. Surprising that Mattingly was able to get the last five innings out of two pitchers. Good for him. I don't know why he's putting up with this disgrace. I realize there are only 30 MLB managing jobs, but he should either be resigning or publicly criticizing ownership. And yeah, that blue-on-black thing is just a terrible look for the Marlins — a team that knows a thing or two about terrible looks. Their new home togs that they wore when the Mets were in Miami were smart and classic right out of the box. How could the same designers have failed so badly trying to translate those features to a road uni?
